Abstract：Now there are disorderly expansions in Xi'an spatial development. These bring about the problems on bioenvironmental damages, traffic jam, destruction of historic and cultural remains and etc. Appearances of the problem are relative to excessive centripetal aggregation. In order to suit the needs of Xi'an great development in 21st century, space of Xi'an urban development should be opened up;Xi'an metropolitan area should be set up. Dual-axes spatial structure should be adapted in development of Xi'an metropolitan area. On the basis, spatial structures of Xi'an traffic, industries and bioenvironment should be set up again.
